Where are you located?

I am currently doing all Telehealth sessions through a HIPPA compliant program called Simple Practice. I will continue to do all virtual sessions through summer 2021. I will be opening a physical location again in either West Seattle or South Seattle are once it is safe to do so. Virtual sessions will continue to be available long term for any Washington State resident working with me, even once the pandemic has passed.

How do I schedule with you?

Please fill out the form under "Forms and Contact" with your email and request, and I will get back to you within 2 business days.  If you prefer to receive a phone call, please leave your number in the message section of the form.

What if I don't know where to start on my healing path?

I offer a free 20 minute phone call to get started and assess if we are a good fit.  If we need more time to craft a plan, general consultation sessions are available for those curious to find out how my services may be of use to you.  A limited number of adjusted rates slots are available for on going sessions.

How do I know if my child needs Play Therapy?

Play Therapy is effective as preventative mental hygiene for children going through major life transitions, such as the birth of a sibling, change of home or school, or change in parental figures within a household.  Play Therapy is also evidenced based practice for treating signs of maladjustment from past events and transitions.  Signs of distress are individual to each child, but may include aggressiveness, irritability, changes in sleep, toileting, or eating habits, inability to focus, defiance, nervousness, isolation from peers, anxiousness, or regression in development.

No matter where your child is in their development, Play Therapy can help instill such positive traits as self-confidence, personal responsibility, and self control by using play, the primary language of children.  Through play, children work through areas of inner turmoil and try out new expressions of self.  Trained Play Therapists support a child's self discovery by employing techniques that enable children to embrace their full range of emotions in a safe and compassionate space.  To read more about the benefits and history of Play Therapy, click  here

What forms of payment are accepted?

Credit, cash, and check are all accepted for payment. You can save a credit card to your Simple Practice account via my secure Client Portal for easy billing. All cards are charged at midnight after an appointment, unless you make additional arrangements with me.

Do you take Insurance?

I do not take insurance at this time. I am an Out of Network (OON) provider for most insurance plans. Please call your insurance provider to find out about your mental health deductible and coinsurance rate, as it can be different from Medical coverage on some plans. They can also guide you through how to submit paperwork for reimbursement. I supply Superbills once a month for those wanting to submit for reimbursement directly from their insurance provider.

What are your adjusted rates?

For Mental Health Counseling, Nutrition, and Yoga services I offer a limited number of spots between $65 and $115 for clients unable to afford my $130/ 60 min fee.  Please reach out for more information and current availability. If you are seeking mental health services, you may have Out of Network (OON) benefits that can help you pay for sessions.
